About Toner Cartridges

Toner cartridges are primarily used by laser printers, fax machines and photocopiers and are much heavier and significantly larger in size compared to Inkjet ink cartridges.

The basic role of the toner cartridge is to supply the printer with toner material. If dry toner is used, the printer melts the toner by heat of the fuser thereby binding the toner to the paper and forming images and text.

Most toner on the market is sold in tightly enclosed toner cartridges but also refill solutions exist. A toner cartridge is much larger then an ink cartridge in size but are as easy to install and change.

Like ink cartridges also toners can be bought as either compatible cartridges, OEM cartridges or remanufactured cartridges.
