Printer Fuser

Printer Fuser

A fuser is an integral part of a laser printer. The role of the printer fuser is to make the toner stay on the paper by melting the toner particles under heat and pressure.

The toner develops a lot of heat (up to 200 Celcius) and needs an initial warm up before the laser printer is ready for printing. The printer fuser can stand for 90% of the energy consumption in a laser printer. This makes it important to have the power saving mode switched on.
