Printhead
Printhead
The printhead is in a way the core component of an inkjet printer – its task is to deliver ink to the paper via the nozzles. Most often, the printhead is attached directly onto the ink cartridge but systems also exist with the printhead separatly installed.
Like ink cartridges, also the printhead can wear out and need to be exchanged. It’s not to uncommon that printer related problems are due to problems with clogged ink in the printhead. For this reason, and for the reason of not getting burned, do not touch the printerhead with your fingers!
Printerhead cleaning cartridges, are used for cleaning the nozzles and is recommended to be used on a regular basis to prolong the life of the ink cartridge.
